The Land	The Past Is Told...	Staff
Seasons change as normal (Northern Hemisphere, England) or every 3 months in general. Current season: Spring Current Weather Conditions: Patchy rain and sunshine and possibly some snow. The sun is fairly warm when it is out, but not hot. Some snow from previous falls still remains in some places of cold or shade.	Welcome to Earth, year 2450. It had happened, the inevitable. WW3 turned nuclear. The largest and most powerful countries in the world had wreaked havoc on each other, for little gain. They poisoned the Earth, pouring vast amounts of nuclear wast everywhere, they no longer cared, the planet was done for anyway by now. Over the few years that followed the end of the war, strange clouds built up everywhere, poisoning the land and everything on it. After that, the world changed. Things happened, things that shook the world so badly that the surface was no longer recognizable anymore. The inhabitants too, changed. Billions had died in the war, billions more from the poison cloud. Those that survived that mutated, billions more died from their mutations in the years that followed. There is now hardly a fraction of the worlds population left now, and they're still changing. The ones that survived their mutations had often found their new acquired skills useful, and became superior. The same was happening to the animals, plants and fungi. Thousands and millions of species became extinct forever. There are now less than 3000 species left, if you can call them that, for there was much variation in each. They bred, passing on their genes to their offspring. Eventually the world settled down Decades, centuries, have passed now, and the scattered populations have been drawing together for the last 100 years, slowly, finding each other on this new world. Hierarchies came out, the superior dominating the inferior. They found comfort at being together, especially with those most like them, forming clans in the environments each were best suited to. Tis of course isn't true, for the rolling hills on the far side mean that the other side often isn't visible. The plains themselves are remarkably flat, thick grass varying from green to dusty yellow. Large acacia trees are dotted here and there, breaking the horizon and providing shade in the heat of the sun. Moderators: .:| Freefall |:., Loopie 0 0 Air Rock Bottom Valley This land is a vast steep sided valley carved out of the earth milenia ago. Boardered by cliffs on all sides, a shallow river winds sluggishly at the bottom. This land hold very little vegitation however, even at its lower altitudes, and is mostly bare rock and caves in the cliffs, providing shealter for the inhabitants. The winds here can be vicious sometimes, but usually make flying much easier as updrafts and thermals are commen. The tall rocks are perfect for launching from. Moderators: .:| Freefall |:., Loopie 0 0 Water Twilight Lake A large lake dominates this part of land, the far side often only just visible. The bottom is quite far down, only creatures with gills or some other way of breathing underwater can reach the bottom. The surface is relatively clear with good light. At the bottom though it is much darker. Large rocks jut up out of the floor, easy to crash into if you can see in the low light. The lake is fed by a small river from Rock Bottom Valley, and a larger river runs out of the other side, towards the sea. Moderators: .:| Freefall |:., Loopie 0 0 Cysmu Falls A place of beauty. Cysmu Falls is filled with many waterfalls. The water from each crashes into it's own pool below. Streams run off these pools and run down to the main pool at the bottom of Cysmu. Cysmu is the name of the largest waterfall; it starts at the top of the mountain and drops over two hundred feet into the huge pool beneath it. Apart from the sound of the crashing waters, this is a tranquil place; birds sing from the tops of the trees and, most of the time, the sun shines down on the land, making it a warm place to be. Moderators: .:| Freefall |:., Loopie 0 0 Outlands Paradise Lost Lost in time, untouched for millennia. This place may be the one place on earth not touched by mankind or war, for it remains the single and most perfect place on earth. A large tall cliff stands guard over the haven, the only sounds apart from bird and tree song is the rushing of the waterfalls that hurls themselves over the cliffs into the many rivers that flow below. The ground is carpeted by green lush grass where it is interspersed with the rivers, and further along where the rivers join there is a woodland that may ever be known as rainforest, leaves feeding off of the fine mist created by the waterfall. This place is universal, part of all the clan lands, yet part of none. This is a deserted place, a few dead or dying trees are found poking out of the cracks in the rocks. There is little to eat or drink here. This is not a place for the faint hearted, only the toughest survive here. Moderators: .:| Freefall |:., Loopie 0 0 Krocesi Desert A vast desert, miles upon miles of golden sand and sand dunes. Every so often you will see a cacti, standing alone, feeding of what the creatures cannot find. The heat of the sun makes living here unbareable for most, but for some, due to mutations and changes over the years, this is their place.
